We trust you will be encouraged, challenged, and equipped by each resource here. Founder Doug Tjaden’s books heavily quote and footnote Scripture. Many of the other resources listed are also references noted in his books.

This book traces the development of economics and money through Scripture and historical documents, beginning in the Garden of Eden. It shows how and why today’s systems are designed to war against building the Kingdom of God.

Understanding this story has major implications as the kings of the earth attempt a “Great Reset” of their failing systems.

The sequel to I Came to Give provides a stark contrast between man’s economic systems and God’s. It then provides a framework of how people in local communities can begin to once again live according to God’s economic principles and ways.

Is the modern 21st Century church ready to embrace God’s “radical” economic worldview?

The final book in the series takes us back to the very beginning of the Creation narrative. There, we find the true origin of God’s economic design embedded in a covenant He established between Himself, His Son, Creation, and all humanity.

God longs to restore this covenant as the foundation of relational intimacy upon which He always intended His Kingdom to be built.

"Understanding the Times"

Doug was born and raised in rural southwest Nebraska. While his roots are grounded in farming, he has been blessed to have led an incredibly diverse life.  He is a private pilot and has earned a black belt in martial arts. He owned a small tech company before serving ten years as a pastor of a small fellowship. Doug has also served on the board of directors of a small business and presently serves on the leadership team of the Global Transformation Network and the Rebuilders Network.

The operative word here is “network.”

History is clear. During times of uncertainty, decision-making moves away from centralized governments and organizations and into local communities. With today’s geopolitical and economic instability, leaders and citizens in local communities are being empowered like never before. For the first time in decades, if not centuries, the networks they build will have an opportunity to embrace innovative new systems that will unleash the abundant life that Jesus came to give all of mankind.

Doug is committed to help them succeed.

Economic & monetary insight that will help you embrace a
biblical economic worldview

A self-identified “political economist,” Dennis Peacoke is both Doug’s friend and mentor. Released in 2012, this prophetic work identified by name, a coming “Great Reset” of the world’s economic and financial systems and the three phases by which it will unfold in the years to come.

This book was also released in 2012. It is a series of essays written from a biblical perspective that bring into question some of the key tenets of Capitalism. Note: It is not pro-socialism.

Ralph T. Foster’s book is the most comprehensive, highly sourced work on the birth and proliferation of fiat money ever compiled. This book will blow your mind.

More than any other book outside of Scripture, Bernard Lietaer’s groundbreaking work led Doug to a paradigm shift in how we should view the role of money in our lives and the nature of how it should be created and managed.

Spiritual insight that helps us adopt and apply a
biblical economic worldview

Dr. Michael Heiser’s groundbreaking deep dive into the reality of the unseen world that we all live with. He establishes our position as God’s “imagers” to work out His will on earth as it is in heaven.

This classic work puts into perspective the purpose and process of how to transform nations through discipleship, and application of a true biblical worldview.

Richard and Kimberly Wilson guide you into a strategic battle in the heavenly realm, all while developing an unshakable relationship with the Lord of the Angel Armies that will empower you to withstand life’s challenges.

Dr. Patti Amsden’s excellent work establishes the theology behind the Council we are called to work within in the heavenly realm to administer matters in our local communities and the nations.

Stewardship of Creation and its critical role in a
biblical economic worldview

The amount of value Paul Dysinger and his father bring to the gardening space is amazing. We highly recommend using Seedtime to plan your garden, homestead, or small farm.

An encouraging documentary about how stewarding God’s Creation according to His original design can produce food in tremendous abundance.

Similar to Back to Eden, this is a reality check on what it takes to steward the land. Both inspiring and heartwarming.

What a title! This early work of Joel Salatin arguably began the conversation about the beauty of God’s design for Creation and it’s ability to provide humanity with food. Highly recommended!

Life & culture issues that highlight the importance of embracing a
biblical economic worldview

This is part one of a starting documentary from the BBC that shows how powerful interests have used media and manipulation to turn humanity into mass consumers of stuff. Highly recommended for those who want to understand our present reality.

Carl R. Truman takes us through the history of how sexual identity has become a dominate subject in both public discourse and cultural trends. The roots and development of the sexual revolution is a symptom, rather than the cause, of the human search for identity. We can see the enemy’s identity trading floors come alive in real-life, with tragic consequences.

Thought-provoking from a number of perspectives. We truly were created to live a highly relational, simple, and quiet life.

There is a great deal of work to do in the Kingdom. Greg McKeown shows us how to cut out the noise and focus on what is essential to getting the important work done.
