A Great Political Realignment is Underway

And it’s not what you think.

As I survey the landscape of our world today, I see chaos rising—geopolitical tensions, cultural upheavals, and economic systems teetering on the edge of collapse. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the pace of change, but I believe we are witnessing something far deeper than mere temporary disruptions. We are living in historic times, where the very systems that govern human interaction are undergoing a fundamental transformation. The “DNA” of these systems is being rewritten before our eyes.

As followers of Jesus, we must view these events through the lens of Scripture, discerning not just the visible changes but the spiritual forces at play behind the veil. This isn’t merely a political realignment as the world defines it. No, this is a profound spiritual battle over the future of the systems that shape our lives and the future of humanity itself. It’s a battle between the traditions of men and the Kingdom of God.

The World’s Plan: A “Great Reset” Built on Shifting Sand

You’ve likely heard the term “Great Reset.” Until recently, global leaders used to use it a great deal. That is, until people began to catch on to what it is all about. It’s a call to overhaul the world’s economic and monetary systems, tied to ideas like Central Bank Digital Currencies and the United Nations’ 17 “sustainable development goals.” On the surface, these goals—ending poverty, ensuring health, protecting the environment—sound noble. But as the saying goes, the devil is in the details. In this case, that is literal. This “reset” is not a solution but a reboot of a cursed, unsustainable economic and monetary system built on the traditions of men. It’s a system rooted in control, competition, and scarcity, designed by the kings of the earth to preserve their power rather than reflect God’s design.

Consider the current monetary system—a structure that operates like a Ponzi scheme, where money is birthed through debt and demands endless expansion to avoid collapse. Paired with a form of neo-Darwinian capitalism focused on personal gain through competition, this system has diverted the resources God intended for His Kingdom, leaving behind a trail of suffering and injustice. It’s a design that defiles creation, breeds fear, and starves the human soul of the abundance God promised. We see the fruit of ignoring God’s economic principles all around us.

God’s Counter-Move: The Great Restoration

But here’s the good news: while the kings of the earth pursue their “Great Reset,” God is initiating a far greater work—His Great Restoration. This movement is not about patching up broken systems but restoring biblical principles across all areas that impact human life on earth. God has no interest in allowing humanity to simply reboot a cursed framework. Instead, He is inviting us to partner with Him in rebuilding systems of value management founded on His covenant, established at Creation between Himself, His Son, Creation, and us as His image-bearers. This Restoration points toward a spiritual and relational “age of abundance” that Jesus came to give.

God’s original intent was for us to co-labor with Him in a Grand Building Project—to extend the abundance of Eden across the earth. This project rests on five unshakable principles: cooperation, stewardship, abundance, affirming our identity as bearers of God’s image, and sustainability. These stand in stark contrast to the enemy’s principles of control, competition, scarcity, identity theft, and fragility that dominate the systems of today.

Our Calling in the Restoration: The Ekklesia’s Long Game

Let me be clear: God’s Great Restoration is not going to be a quick fix. It’s a long game, requiring persistent, principled persuasion over decades. It demands a deliberate, solid foundation rooted in the gospel of the Kingdom. And at the heart of this mission is the ekklesia—not just the local church, but the governing assembly of believers—called out to manage the affairs of the earth. The ekklesia must awaken to its responsibility to occupy the gates of influence in every sphere of culture, offering workable solutions to the geopolitical, societal, and economic challenges of our day by designing systems based on God’s principles and ways.

This starts with personal transformation—resetting our vision to see through God’s truth rather than the world’s illusions. It means being intentional on our “trading floors”—those everyday interactions where we exchange value, whether through goods, services, or even words and actions that impact emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. Simple “micro-deposits” of love, encouragement, and truth can build identity as God’s image bearer and reverse the identity theft the enemy has perpetrated on untold billions of souls. This personal revelation then ripples outward to families, churches, and communities, moving the ekklesia out of its walls to serve and transform the world around us.

A Better Way Forward: Building the Kingdom on Earth

God is done watching humanity’s identity be stolen and destroyed by economic systems rooted in the traditions of men. He is calling us to decide: Do we believe that living according to His economic principles and covenant is possible? Do we believe that the body of Christ can—and will—offer the world a better answer to its economic woes than the “Great Reset?” I do. However, it requires us to understand the times so we know what we should do.

Here at Regeneco, we ask, “Why should we not dare to imagine communities where emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being are the priority, where local businesses and non-profits collaborate to affirm every citizen’s identity as an image-bearer of God, and where creation is stewarded for its highest purpose?” This is the promise of God’s Great Restoration—an invitation to join Him in building His Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven, making available to humanity the abundant life Jesus spoke of in John 10:10. In coming articles, I’ll dive deeper into what this looks like and how we can create systems of value exchange that align with God’s principles, one household, one church, one community at a time.
